As 2010 Comes to an End, I praise God for Kelly Good Photography

God REALLY blessed my business throughout all of 2010, but I was especially busy in the months of November and the begining of December.  I was a little overwhelmed and barely able to get the photos edited and back to my clients by the promised deadlines so I didn't get a chance until now to update my website.  I'm definitely not complaining, though... and I look forward to seeing what Kelly Good Photography has in store for the upcoming year!  I have created a custom collage for each session and posted them below.  Most of the sessions were of children and for families or couples to use on their Christmas Cards (what a humbling and exciting experience when I received cards from clients this year that I photographed!) and to give prints as Christmas gifts.  After all, as my sister said to me about 5 years ago, "Once you have kids, you have an advantage b/c all anyone really wants for Christmas is a picture!".  I must agree... pictures and photo gifts are my favorite to give and to receive!  I also had the privalege of photographing a long-time friend's engagement photos... what a very special honor... a photo session for a baby announcement... always so sweet...and ending the year with a maternity session!  Please enjoy some of my favorites from each session...

She's Cuter than a Button...

I enjoyed this newborn session so much that I ALMOST (note: only for a brief moment!) wanted another baby!  Unfortunately, I know, there is more to another life than a sweet face and precious fingers and toes... but this is just another reason that I love my job!  :)  Thank You, Chrissy, for this experience!  I look forward to watching Miss Priss grow...

Fall Mini Sessions: West Point on the Eno River

On the morning of Oct.9, 2010 Several Families met me at the Eno River State Park for a mini session.  It started out a little cool, but turned out to be a beautiful day!  Below are some of my favorites...

D.Herendeen @ ATC

After taking a much needed "break" from official photography sessions the past 4 weeks, I was so happy to have such a fun experience this past Saturday.  I photographed a handsome 4 year old boy who is a friend of our family.  As we all know, boys this age are so unpredictable, and I can say that because I have a son who may or may not allow me to photograph him at any given moment!  I was SO PROUD (as a friend of his mother) and so PLEASED (as a photographer) with his willingness to cooperate and I was, again, reminded why I love my job!  I'm also so so exited that his Mommy suggested a new location that I had never photographed at before; American Tobacco Company in Downtown Durham was such a unique place that allowed a more "modern edge"along with a beautiful backdrop for this spunky little boy!  I think you will agree that we got some pretty fantastic pictures...

Summer Has Come To An End...

... and I what a busy summer it has been for Kelly Good Photography! I apologize to my July and August clients, but I was not able to write a seperate entry for each of our unique experiences! I made the executive decision to take a much needed break for the past few weeks and focus on my own children before photography requires a lot of my energy and attention in the months ahead. I enjoyed each session and I have included some of my favorites from these sessions in the collage. I was busy with 3 maternity sessions, 3 family/children portrait sessions, modeling headshots, a corporate advertising campaign, as well as a 40th Surprise Birthday Party! I am so excited to see what the future has in store for me as the Fall / early Winter Months promise to be full and successful! I never imagined this dream business which began only a year ago, would turn into a true way for me to suppliment our family's income! Praise Be To God!
